Rapid Thermoplastic Wehocoat (3LPP, 3LPE)
RAE’s Rapid Wehocoat system is an advanced 3-layer (3L) FJC system that provides mechanical and corrosion protection and high electrical resistance. For high heat operating temperatures, the 3LPP Rapid Wehocoat is best. The advantage of our in-house engineered Rapid Wehocoat system is the faster application time due to its automated programming and unique design, enabling a quick changeover from IMPP to Wehocoat.
Our Rapid 3L Wehocoat is ideal for:
reel-lay pipelines,
steel catenary risers (SCRs),
and buried mainline or field joints (3LPE)
Additional layers may be added if thicker thermal insulation is needed, such as 5LPP or 7LPP coating.

RAE’s Rapid Wehocoat system is an advanced 3-layer FJC system that offers a directly extruded film of material, applied to a hot FBE and adhesive coated cutback region and fused to the parent coating. It utilizes automation, faster application time (e.g., 2-3 min cycle time for a 10-in pipe), and quick changeover time from IMPP to Wehocoat.
